UFC president Dana White announced the UFC is postponing their next three events due to the health and safety concerns for UFC fighters, UFC employees and their fans due to the coronavirus pandemic. After the NBA, NHL, NCAA and Major League Baseball all postponed or canceled their seasons, the UFC was the last remaining popular sport still active.

But now the mixed martial arts promotional company is following suit with the other major sports in America and around the world by shutting down operations for the time being.

White sent a memo to UFC employees announcing the next three events, which are London, Columbus, and Portland will all be postponed. But UFC 249, which is scheduled for April 18th in Brooklyn, is still going on as planned—but he did add, the company may decide to change its location.

In that same memo, White told employees: “Nothing is more important than the health and safety of you and your families.”
