What to Watch this week in sports

THURSDAY: 12/4, TNT, 10:30 p.m. NBA: Spurs at Nuggets With Chauncey Billups (averaging 18.2 points and 7.2 assists) leading the way, the Nuggets look for their sixth victory in seven games on Thursday when they play host to the Spurs, who are coming off an effort Gregg Popovich described as "very soft" in a loss to Detroit.

SATURDAY: 12/6, CBS, 4:00 p.m. CFB: Alabama vs. Florida The top-ranked Crimson Tide return to the site of their first win of their so-far undefeated season Saturday, when they head to the Georgia Dome for the SEC championship game against the Florida Gators. After 12 wins, the Tide's final test before bowl season is against Tim Tebow and red-hot Florida.

SATURDAY: 12/6, ABC, 8:00 p.m. CFB: Missouri vs. Oklahoma The roles are reversed in this year's Big 12 title game, but the teams are the same. Missouri and Chase Daniel look to derail the No. 2 Sooners' BCS hopes one year after Sam Bradford's two second-half touchdown passes lifted Oklahoma to a 38-17 win over then-No. 1 Missouri.

SUNDAY: 12/7, FOX, 4:15 p.m. NFL: Cowboys at Steelers Back in the thick of the NFC wild-card hunt after a Thanksgiving win over Seattle, Tony Romo and the Cowboys head into Pittsburgh for a matchup with a Steelers team that is coming off a dominant victory over the Patriots. Led by the league's top-ranked defense, the Steelers won at Foxborough for the first time since 1997.

MONDAY: 12/8, ESPN, 8:30 p.m. NFL: Buccaneers at Panthers Jeff Garcia and the Bucs (9-3) head to Carolina (9-3) with sole possession of first place in the NFC South on the line. Garcia has won five in a row against the Panthers, completing 60.4 percent of his passes for 1,178 yards and nine touchdowns against three interceptions in those games.
