Westbrook on top; Mayo tumbles

Russell Westbrook might not be Rookie of the Year -- the Bulls' Derrick Rose is still the favorite -- but he's most certainly the Rookie of the Moment.

The Oklahoma City point guard, who averaged 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in four games over the last week, has edged past Rose to reclaim the top spot in the Rookie Rankings.

He's also helped the Thunder sustain their best form of the season: They've won six of their last nine games, including Monday's comeback win against Spurs, Oklahoma City's first victory against a first-place team this season. Not too shabby for a team whose 2-24 start put it on an early pace to challenge the 1972-73 Sixers for the worst record in NBA history.
