Hiller tops Sunday's Three Stars

1. Jonas Hiller, Ducks: Mikael Samuelsson's first period backhander through the five hole was a soft goal to give up, but Hiller refused to let it ruffle his feathers. He quickly returned to form, making 59 saves on the afternoon, including 29 in nearly 42 minutes of overtime action, to power the Ducks to a 4-3 victory in Detroit.

2. Cam Ward, Hurricanes: If you want to steal a playoff game on the road, your goalie has to be your best player. It was true for the Ducks and even moreso for the Hurricanes. Ward was well protected by his teammates through the first two periods, but was tested repeatedly as the Bruins pressed to tie it up in the third. His stop on Michael Ryder's late-game power play bid was one to remember if Carolina advances.

3. Ryan Getzlaf, Ducks: Up until Todd Marchant's dramatic overtime ender, Getzlaf had contributed to every Anaheim goal in this series. Today the score sheet recorded one goal and two assists next to his name, allowing Getzlaf to take over the playoff scoring lead with 13 points. He played nearly 39 minutes, tops among forwards, and tied for the team lead in hits (5) and shots (6).
