'Skins CB: Losing starts with ownership
"We've got a lot of things we need to iron out, a lot of problems," cornerback Carlos Rogers said. "It's from personnel to coaches to whatever it is, there's a lot of things we need to iron out, and until we address those issues and turn it around, were going to be the same, going up and down. It not only starts with the players, coaches; it starts with the ownership. They bring everybody in and they've got last say-so of everything, so that's where it starts, I guess." (nbcsports)Comment
The Suns' front office is looking at candidates and are openly considering the idea of adding a big man. Had they gone the route of adding a big body for a camp contract, they would have done that by now or just kept Raymond Sykes around. The consideration is to add someone who would be around for the regular season. That call will be made in the next week so that an addition would have enough time during next week's practices to acclimate himself. Of course, a big consideration here is money. Shockey still bitter over Giants days
Jeremy Shockey told the New Orleans Times-Picayune in yesterday's editions that he had a "bitter taste in my mouth," from his Giants days. "It's just something that if you cross me once -- it's hard enough to gain my trust as it is -- and if you lie to me and if you say something behind closed doors between that person and myself ... "I needed change in my life," he said. He had a blowup with GM Jerry Reese during a minicamp in June of '08 and that made it impossible for him to return. (New York Daily News)Comment
