No. 1 Florida 41, Georgia 17
For the first time in a while, Tim Tebow played like a Heisman Trophy contender. He finished with 18 carries for 85 yards and two scores, and also completed 15 of 21 passes for 164 yards and two more touchdowns, both to Riley Cooper, as Florida cruised.
No. 3 Texas 41, No. 13 Oklahoma St. 14
Curtis Brown and Earl Thomas each returned interceptions for touchdowns, and Cody Johnson (left) had two short TD runs as the Longhorns established themselves as the clear frontrunner in the Big 12 South.
No. 5 Cincinnati 28, Syracuse 7
Sophomore Zach Collaros threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns -- one in each quarter -- as the Bearcats remained undefeated. Cincinnati junior Armon Binns caught five passes for 132 yards and two scores.
No. 6 Boise St. 45, San Jose St. 7
Kellen Moore threw for 278 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another to lead No. 6 Boise State to its eighth straight win. Kellen Moore's younger brother Kirby Moore (34) scored one rushing and one receiving TD for the Broncos.
No. 7 Iowa 42, Indiana 24
Brandon Wegher rushed for a career-high 118 yards and three TDs, including two in a 28-point fourth quarter, as Iowa rallied from a 21-7 deficit. After needing two blocked field goals to beat FCS school Northern Iowa in its opener, Iowa is off to the best start in school history, thanks to four wins by three points or less.
No. 8 TCU 41, UNLV 0
Andy Dalton fumbled here, but he still threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns as TCU had no trouble with UNLV. The unbeaten Horned Frogs remian in the hunt for a BCS berth.
No. 9 LSU 42, Tulane 0
Charles Scott (left) rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns and and the ninth-ranked Tigers shut out Tulane for the first time since 1969.
No. 10 Oregon 47, No. 4 USC 20
Jeremiah Masoli (left) threw for 222 yards and a touchdown and ran for 164 more yards with another score as the Ducks gave the Trojans their worst loss since 1997. Oregon remained undefeated in the Pac-10, threatening USC's hold on the league championship for the past seven years.
No. 11 Georgia Tech 56, Vanderbilt 31
Josh Nesbitt (left) ran for two touchdowns and threw for two scores and Jonathan Dwyer ran for a career-high 186 yards rushing with three TDs as Georgia Tech rallied to beat Vanderbilt.
No. 12 Penn St. 34, Northwestern 13
Penn State shut out Northwestern in the second half and the Nittany Lions scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns in less than four minutes to pull away. Evan Royster (left) broke off a 69-yard scoring run to highlight the fourth-quarter surge.
North Carolina 20, No. 13 Virginia Tech 17
Casey Barth is all smiles as he's carried off the field after his 21-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Tar Heels in a key ACC road win. Barth also connected on a 19-yard field goal -- which finished off a 16-play, 78-yard dirve -- with 2:52 to play to tie the game.
No. 15 Houston 50, Southern Miss 43
Case Keenum (left) threw for a career-high 559 yards and had five touchdowns, his last coming with 21 seconds remaining, to lift the Cougars. James Cleveland added 190 receiving yards for 7-1 Houston.
No. 17 Ohio State 45, New Mexico State 0
The Buckeye defense throttled the overmatched Aggies, last among all Bowl Subdivision teams in total offense, by allowing just 62 yards -- and two first downs. Terrelle Pryor threw for one touchdown and ran for another as Ohio State improved to 7-2.
No. 18 Miami 28, Wake Forest 27
Jacory Harris (left) threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Travis Benjamin with 1:08 left to rescue the Hurricanes. Harris threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns.
No. 19 Utah 22, Wyoming 10
Freshman Jordan Wynn passed for 82 yards and a touchdown in his college debut. He replaced starter Terrance Cain in the second half and rallied the Utes. Eddie Wide (36) tied a school record with his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game and added a late touchdown to seal the win.
South Florida 30, No. 20 West Virginia 19
South Florida defenders (from left) Jerrell Young, Kion Wilson and Jerome Murphy corral West Virginia's Noel Devine. Freshman B.J. Daniels threw three scoring passes for the Bulls, who held Devine to 42 yards on 17 attempts.
Tennessee 31, No. 21 S. Carolina 13
Decked out in black jerseys, Tennessee took three South Carolina fumbles and turned them into touchdowns as coach Lane Kiffin grabbed his first win over a ranked opponent.
No. 22 Oklahoma 42, Kansas St. 30
Landry Jones passed for 294 yards and four touchdowns and DeMarco Murray scored three times (including here). The Sooners jumped to a quick 21-0 lead and hung on while Kansas State twice closed to within five points in the second half.
Auburn 33, No. 24 Ole Miss 20
Auburn's Craig Stevens stops Ole Miss' Dexter McCluster in his tracks. The Tigers used big plays (Walter McFadden's interception return for a TD, Ben Tate's 53-yard scoring run and Demond Washington's return of a blocked extra point) to upend the Rebels and break their three-game losing streak.
No. 25 Notre Dame 40, Washington St. 14
Golden Tate (left) scored two touchdowns, including a spectacular grab of a desperation heave at the end of the first half, and Notre Dame got it's first easy win in almost two months.
