My plan of winning a couple of million in Vegas didn't quite work out, so I'm back in the Hot Clicks saddle. I'd like to kick things off by following up on an item I posted in early February. Back then, I told you about a Colorado high school kid who invited UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste to his prom via a series of YouTube videos. Well, the prom was last weekend, and according to this story and this tweet by Celeste, things went well.

Back in 2003, after graduating from Eastern Illinois but going undrafted, Tony Romo was supposed to be interviewed by a local TV station. However, the Q&A didn't quite get off the ground.

"Tony, Can You Hear Me?"

Florida wide receiver Deonte Thompson gave the following quote about Tim Tebow and new Gators quarterback John Brantley to Orlando Sentinel reporter Jeremy Fowler. "You never know with Tim. He can bolt. You'll think he's running, but then he'll just come up and pass it to you. You just have to be ready at all times. With Brantley, everything's with rhythm, time. Like, you know what I mean, a real quarterback." The printing of that statement caused Florida coach Urban Meyerto attack Fowler.

This next item is from Monday, but I have to comment on it. The New York Post's Phil Mushnick, who approximately 99 percent of the time complains about pretty much everything in sports, and basically rips the same five people/things (Mike Francesa, John Sterling, Vince McMahon, the save rule and late start times for sporting events) over and over and over, went afterBill Raftery's use of "onions." Mushnick said, "I've long loved Raftery, but his continued hollering of a crude crotch term after a big shot long ago should have ended, if not voluntarily, then on orders." There are really no words to describe the absurdness of this complaint, so I'm just going to link this.

Seriously?

Speaking of Raftery, we won't hear from him and Verne Lundquist until Friday's games. Gus Johnsonhandles two games this evening. ... Which of the Sweet 16 teams has the sweetest uniform? And the best cheerleaders? ... Sparty & Friends' Sitcomology tournament is down to the Sweet 16.
