Butler's Shelvin Mack (No. 1) finished with 14 points and six rebounds, much to the chagrin of Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.

Junior Matt Howard (No. 54) grabbed eight rounds, including four on the offensive end, as Butler started the game with a 12-1 run and finished it with a 13-5 scoring spurt.

In a game as tightly contested as this rebound, Jacob Pullen connected on a 3-pointer with 31.2 seconds left in the second overtime to lift Kansas State into the regional final. Pullen led the Wildcats with 28 points, including eight in the second overtime.
