Gale Sayers is a Bears fan of the highest order, and he isn't happy with the state of the franchise. "Cutler hasn't done the job," Sayers said. "(Brian) Urlacher, I don't know how good he's going to be coming back. He's 33 years old. They need a couple wide receivers, a couple defensive backs. They haven't done a good job. Not surprisingly taken differently in Boston, John Lackey's comments about the Angels' approach to free agency being "a little suspect," didn't play well for the California audience. He just sounds unnecessarily and oddly bitter now, particularly given the mountain of money the whole process eventually netted him. Please, John, even if you're right -- and we do generally agree with his comment -- sharing the words now is pointless. Magic send message to LeBron with blowout
In hammering Atlanta, Orlando sent a message loud and clear: that they want to win the East. The Hawks cannot play this bad again. But in their regular season matchups less severe versions of this same scenario played out. The Magic have a starting five that can best the Hawks starting five, and the Magic bench blows Atlanta out of the water. The Magic have matchup advantages they can easily exploit, while Howard takes away the easy baskets the Hawks try to get off their mismatches. The Magic have made a statement.
