Richards tops Three Stars

1. Mike Richards, Flyers. The captain put together a brilliant shorthanded shift in the first period, when he made a huge hit, broke up a chance at his blue line and scored a goal at the other end. He added two assists to cap off a three-point night.

2. Aaron Asham, Flyers. Despite his limited minutes, just 8:11 for the game, the efficient plugger scored once and generated three other good scoring chances in one of his stronger games of the year.

3. Scott Gomez, Canadiens. It may have been too little, too late, but Gomez played one of his better games, scoring a late goal to keep the Canadiens in it, setting up Montreal's first goal, and drawing a retaliatory penalty after a solid check in the first period.
