Wade, LBJ and Bosh to join in Miami?

A source close to Dwyane Wade said the Heat guard believes his team is poised to pull off a free-agency coup of landing himself, Cleveland Cavaliers guard LeBron James and Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh. But that same source, as well as a party inside the league, told the Sun Sentinel that Wade also plans to cover himself during the initial days of the free-agency negotiating period by scheduling interviews with the New York Knicks , Chicago Bulls , and, in somewhat of a surprise, the Dallas Mavericks. Henry headed for MLS?

Red Bull target Thierry Henry's exit from Barcelona is official. Will the French striker's arrival in New York be far behind? The fourth year of his contract was not to expire until a year from this month, but getting out of that final season was the primary benefit for Barcelona. But an ancillary benefit might also be fostering goodwill and solid working arrangements with MLS, a league that the team has shown interest in. Their desire to buy into the league was first reported by the Post. (New York Post)Comment

Zambrano says tirade misinterpreted

While Carlos Zambrano wouldn't pick up the phone to answer Alfonso Soriano's call, he apparently did when Kevin Millar called him Saturday night. Millar, now an analyst for MLB Network, said Zambrano's rave-out on Friday has been misinterpreted, at least according to Zambrano. "The main thing he wanted to get across was that at times guys like Carlos, they don't know how to handle or how to fire up a team," Millar said. "There wasn't one play that made him mad, it was just the whole team and the way they've been playing made him mad and then he was frustrated, he said, after his inning and came in and was basically trying to pump all the guys up."
