McNabb, T.O. at each other again
After Terrell Owens took to Twitter with "How do u justify a 78 million dollar contract w/this type of performance?" regarding a certain former teammate -- or, perhaps, his team -- that former teammate shot back. Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb responded on Tuesday to criticism of his new contract extension from former teammate Terrell Owens. ... In an appearance on ESPN Radio on Tuesday, McNabb fired back. "It's unbelievable how they can comment on what I'm doing over here," McNabb said, while bringing up the 2-7 Bengals' lowly record. Mets hope to name manager before Thanksgiving
The Mets are taking the occasion of the GM meetings to further narrow their search. [New York's] managerial hunt entered the home stretch [Tuesday] night with Terry Collins, Bob Melvin, Chip Hale and Wally Backman as the final candidates, according to assistant general manager John Ricco, in a search that began two weeks ago. The finalists will receive second interviews by GM Sandy Alderson and his staff, likely beginning [Wednesday] at the GM Meetings. The interview process should be completed by the end of the week, with a decision likely coming next week. (New York Daily News)Comment
Pistons, Kuester share irreconcilable differences?
Incidents with Ben Gordon, Rodney Stuckey and, most recently and spectacularly, Tayshaun Prince underscore an issue. Pistons fans have heard this one before -- the players have lost confidence in their coach. The issues are the way he handles players and his coaching abilities. When the players are looking for a reason for the team's 4-7 start, they will point directly at the bench. And although this movie is awfully familiar, considering the locker-room problems with previous coaches Flip Saunders and Michael Curry, several veterans say they have never seen it this bad -- especially since the season is so young.Free Press (Free Press)Comment
