Before we get started, many of you have asked about a Hot Clicks NCAA tournament pool. Yes, there will be one (with prizes!), but I'm waiting until tomorrow to announce it because I don't want to include the play-in games that take place tonight and tomorrow night. That means you will have from late Wednesday night until Thursday late morning to fill out your bracket, so be prepared. Now onto the show...
Tournament Promotions
When it comes to NCAA tournament gimmicks, Hooters is doing it right. Pizza Hut and Harry Caray's restaurant are not. Hooters has declared Thursday and Friday "National Play Hooky Days." If you're so inclined to call in sick and watch the games at Hooters, they'll provide you with a doctor's note AND a free appetizer coupon. Pizza Hut wants you to think they're offering something special, but they're not. They've announced they'll give out pizza in 48 states (sorry, Alaska and Hawaii) if a No. 16 seed beats a No. 1 seed. The only problem with that is a No. 16 has never beaten a No. 1. However, there's a better chance of that happening than anyone in the world picking every single tournament game correctly. But that's what Harry Caray's restaurant wants you to do in order to win free steak for life.
I chatted with Nick Lachey Monday about his Big East tournament theme song and a variety of sports topics, including his hometown Cincinnati Bengals. Lachey didn't hold anything back and had some harsh words forCarson Palmer, Chad Ochocinco and owner Mike Brown.

In the Jan. 18 A.M. edition of Hot Clicks, I featured a video of a guy swallowing 10 hot dogs in less than a minute. Today, I received this e-mail from Jason Christiansen, of Logan, Utah. "Hey Jimmy, I just wanted to send you an update on our friend James, the hot dog swallowing phenom. Me and a couple buddies have been encouraging him to take his talents to either Leno or Letterman, and he did. Leno is flying him out to L.A. tonight. James will be swallowing hot dogs on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tomorrow night, March 16. He would appreciate it if you gave him a shout out and wished him luck. You were where it all started for him. Thank you." Who knew the power of Hot Clicks could be used for such good things?
