Keeping with tradition, driver Dan Wheldon celebrated his victory in the 100th Indianapolis 500 with a bottle of milk. Unlike previous winners, however, Wheldon chose to bathe in, not drink the milk.
Barcelona tossed its manager Josep Guardiola (top) into the air as they celebrated their 3-1 victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League final on May 28.
Maryland's Brian Farrell (right) tried to lead a comeback with this late goal in the NCAA lacrosse Division I championship game, but Virginia held on to defeat the Terrapins 9-7. The win marked Virginia's fourth national title under coach Dom Starsia, the winningest coach in college lacrosse history.
