An online petition got Betty White to host Saturday Night Live. Now it's time sports fans step up their game and make it known that we want Vin Scully to be part of this year's World Series coverage on Fox. There is an petition going around (started by the Mets blog, Daily Stache.net) to get Scully to call the World Series. I don't want to be a buzzkill, but if we're being realistic, that's just not going to happen. Fox isn't going to tell Joe Buck to stay home while they let Vin call the Fall Classic. However, there's no reason why Fox can't use Scully to call a few innings here and there. So I'm begging you to sign this petition and then tell everyone you know to sign the petition. Hell, more than 29,000 of you maniacs voted in a poll about troughs earlier this week. There's no reason why you can't do this. As of 9 a.m. today, there were only 2,255 signatures. Spread the word and make it happen, Hot Clicks Nation!
