ESPN officially fired Hank Williams Jr. this morning, so he will no longer sing at the beginning of Monday Night Football each week. Hopefully, you'll still tune in for the game, but who knows? In an amusing twist, however, Williams claims he quit. Again, who knows. More importantly, who cares. Anyway, if you want to see a classic Saturday Night Live skit in which Chris Farley plays Williams, click here. (Thanks to Scott Stafford, of Smyrna, Ga., for the link.)

Redskins tight end (and now fullback) Chris Cooley caused a stir by saying the following about Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Dallas' loss Sunday to the Lions: "It's hilarious to watch him throw pick-sixes, too, back-to-back. I loved it." I spoke to Cooley on the latest edition of The Hot Clicks Podcast about whether he has any personal issues with Romo, if he dislikes the Cowboys more than the Eagles and Giants, his new role as a part-time fullback, fantasy football (he just picked up teammate Ryan Torain), other NFL topics and more.
