The FOOTBALLPOCALYPSE -- read in your best monster-truck show announcer voice -- is upon us.

No. 1 will meet No. 2 in the regular season for the first time in almost five years when LSU and Alabama take the field Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. It feels like a national semifinal, and barring a major upset, it probably will be. That's pressure. It's Final Jeopardy, the Showcase Showdown and the Fast Money Round rolled into one.
