Jimmy needed the day off to recover from yesterday's wild bowl games. I don't blame him. South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery led the Gamecocks to victory with 148 receiving yards and a touchdown, but was ejected for this fight with Nebraska defensive back Alfonzo Dennard. Both are expected to be first-round draft picks. Inspired by their Darth Vader helmets, Oregon put up 45 points on Wisconsin to win its first Rose Bowl since 1917. But the Ducks needed a failed clock-stopping spike by the Badgers to secure the victory. Also of importance, Wisconsin tight ends coach Joe Rudolph was caught picking his nose and eating it. Oklahoma State beat Stanford to win the Fiesta Bowl. Stanford kicker Jordan Williamson missed kicks at the end of regulation and in the first overtime but as this photo shows, the laces were in. Lastly, Houston quarterback Case Keenumthrew for 532 yards and three touchdowns in the Cougars' 30-14 win over Penn State. If you missed it, here's a good rundown of yesterday's action.

Redskins linebacker Rocky McIntosh wanted a night out before Washington's game against Philadelphia but knew he had a curfew he needed to obey. So he did what any grounded 16-year-old would do: He created a fake bed by stuffing a pillow under the blanket to look like he was sleeping. Washington coach Mike Shanahan, however, found out and McIntosh was deactivated for the game.

It's not a good time to be Jets receiver Santonio Holmes. His teammates wanted to beat him up in the huddle during Sunday's game, and he was escorted from the Jets locker room yesterday. He's become a target for the New York media and if that's not enough, he was forced to pay $175,000 in back taxes to the IRS after failing to pay income taxes in 2009.

We told you yesterday that LeBron Jamespopped the question over the weekend. Here's the engagement ring he gave Savannah Brinson. LeBron isn't the only athlete in love -- these photos of Michael Vick vacationing with fiancee Kijafa Frink hit the internet yesterday.
