This has to be the craziest start to a Major League Baseball season ever. Every day there seems to be three or four awesome/surreal/wild things that happen. Off the top of my head, we've seen a perfect game by White Sox pitcher Phil Humber on the same day the Yankees erased a 9-0 deficit against the Red Sox. Angels pitcher Jered Weaver tossed a no-hitter. Orioles first baseman Chris Davis picked up a win in a 17-inning marathon. Angels slugger Albert Pujols took six weeks to hit his first homer. Rockies pitcher Jamie Moyer became the oldest player in history to win a game at age 49. Tigers outfielder Delmon Young was arrested on hate crime charges. The greatest closer in the history of the game blew out his knee shagging fly balls. Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp has already hit 12 home runs. Nationals rookie Bryce Harper was called up and became a national story for his play and for getting plunked on purpose by Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels. The season has also seen teams that experts didn't expect much from (Mets, A's, Orioles) getting off to solid starts while clubs that were considered contenders (Angels, Marlins, Red Sox) have struggled. The crazy MLB train rolled along last night with Rangers outfielder Josh Hamiltonbelting four home runs against the Orioles, and the A's beating the Blue Jays on a walk-off grand slam by Brandon Inge (released just a couple of weeks ago by the Tigers). That created this awesome scene at home plate.

Good Job, Kobe

Catching a foul ball with your beer is one thing. But as this Padres fan showed last night, drinking said beer with the ball still in it is another.
