There was a great sequence in last night's Bucs-Vikings game when Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen mixed it up with Tampa Bay offensive lineman Donald Penn. Allen lost his helmet during the skirmish and ended up with a bloody nose. On the next play, Allen sacked Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman.

I'm not a doctor, but I don't understand how Tigers pitcher Doug Fister was allowed to stay in last night's game after taking a line drive off the head. I know everything turned out fine, but it seemed reckless, given the dangerous potential for head injuries.
