In the case of Darrelle Revis, it's official. [Woody Johnson] said the Jets are open to trading any player on their roster -- including Revis. ... Neither Johnson nor new general manager John Idzik would specifically address reports the Buccaneers are preparing to make an offer for Revis, but Johnson made it sound as if his best player's days as a Jet could be numbered. "He's on the team right now, and that's the way we're approaching it," Johnson said. Johnson left open the possibility his cap-strapped franchise would attempt to sign Revis to a long-term extension before losing him for essentially nothing in free agency next winter, but Gang Green's owner wasn't exactly enthusiastic about what is considered by many a remote possibility. 'Melo, out: Star refuses to talk to media
Without even playing, Carmelo Anthony can make news from sea to shining sea. [Anthony], who missed his second straight game after having fluid drained from his right knee, declined to speak with reporters as he exited Staples Center following the Clippers 93-80 victory. "I'm not talking," was all Anthony would say after having spent the game watching from the locker room. It was the first time Anthony had been seen by the media since flying on from Denver to New York on Thursday to have his injury treated. Anthony was transported to New York and then back to Los Angeles on the private jet owned by Garden Chairman James Dolan. Anthony has now missed five of the Knicks last seven games. Oregon unfazed by seeding slight
The Ducks, at least publicly, are taking the just-happy-to-be-here approach to the Big Dance. About 17 hours after Oregon completed its thrilling march to the Pac-12 Conference tournament championship, the Ducks took a puzzling tumble Sunday afternoon when the selection committee bumped them down to a No. 12 seed for the NCAA Tournament. ... "It doesn't matter," UO coach Dana Altman said of the seed. "I told the guys before the selection, 'We're going to play a good team.'" ... Tipoff is scheduled for a TNT broadcast around 1:40 p.m. at HP Pavilion. "I don't think it'll be an upset if we win, to be real honest," Altman said.
