Rothman Institute's Impact of Sports Summit scheduled for Nov. 10
Sports Illustrated and the Rothman Institute have partnered to co-host the Third Annual Impact of Sports Summit on Nov. 10 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as the series of speakers will explore the positive intersection of sports with healthcare, philanthropy and business.
Among the panelists for this year's event will be MMQB Editor In Chief Peter King, Philadelphia Phillies President Andy Macphail, New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia 76ers CEO Scott O'Neill, SI Executive Editor B.J. Schecter, Philadelphia Eagles President Don Smolenski and President of Philadelphia Youth Basketball Kenny Holdsman among several other speakers. The Rothman Institute will be represented by Founder Richard H. Rothman, Dr. Alex Vaccaro, Dr. Michael Cicotti, Dr. CHris Dodson and team physicians from the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, Flyers and Villanova Athletics.
The four panels will discuss “The Injured Athlete”, Empowering the Community, the Front Office and Philadelphia's Big Five. Each panel will be followed by a Q&A session from the audience.
SI Football editor Melissa Jacobs will also conduct a one-on-one interview with King.
