Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic hasn’t wasted any time leaving a good impression on basketball fans in the City of Angels, both on and off the court.

Most recently, Doncic donated $5,000 to cover the entire goal of the GoFundMe page set up by artist Louie Palsino, which was created to restore the vandalized mural of Kobe and Gigi Bryant between 14th and Main Street in Los Angeles.

The mural was painted following Kobe and Gigi's death in a 2020 helicopter crash.

"It was always important to give back to the community," Doncic said on Tuesday. "They gave me so much, so I just want to give back."

Doncic clearly understands the impact that Bryant left both on the Lakers and the game of basketball as a whole, and the new Lakers star is making sure that his memory remains through art in Los Angeles, even as his focus remains on a playoff run with his new team.

The Lakers and Timberwolves square off in Game 5 of the West first round series on Wednesday night.
