The Atlanta Hawks are hopeful they’re on their way to copying the Golden State Warriors championship blueprint that started with building through the draft. The team’s roster is filled with former first-round picks with 11 in total. The most obvious example of replicating the Warriors is drafting their own version of Steph Curry, point guard Trae Young. SI’s Amy Campbell says Young’s talent may not have been recognized in an era before Steph Curry. Surrounding Young with talented players like John Collins, De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish have accelerated the Hawks’ rebuild.
