The NBA and players union agreed to cut paychecks by twenty-five percent beginning on May 15th due to the league's coronavirus suspension. Yet, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks, this won't affect some NBA players, five to be exact: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, John Wall, Blake Griffin, and Paul George will not see a pay reduction, at least not yet. These players have already been paid in full for the 2019-20 season, but these top earners aren't excluded. They will be getting their pay reduction on their first paychecks for the 2021 season. If the NBA does not hold regular-season games when play resumes, the cut could go up to 40 percent.
