After Kyrie posted on instagram about it, the conversation around making Kobe Bryant's silhouette the new NBA logo has resurfaced in full force.

Kobe has a complicated history and may not even be the best candidate based solely on basketball reasons.

There are significant reasons why Kobe is not the best candidate to be held as the face of the league and why some other candidates are better choices if the league were to change the logo at all, as SI's Rohan Nadkarni, Chris Mannix, and Howard Beck detail.
