Rookie QB Blake Bortles to start Jaguars final preseason game

Thursday August 28th, 2014

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles will start the team's final preseason game versus the Atlanta Falcons Thursday night, the team announced

Veteran Chad Henne was recently named the team's starting quarterback for Week 1 over the rookie. Henne started the Jaguars previous three preseason games.

Future should be now for Blake Bortles and the Jaguars

Bortles was the No. 3 pick in the 2014 draft after three seasons at Central Florida. Through three preseason games, the 22-year-old is 28-for-45 for 435 yards yards and a touchdown.

Jacksonville opens the season in Philadelphia on Sept. 7.
