The Cleveland Browns completed a flurry of practice squad moves Tuesday, just a couple hours before the league's trade deadline hits.

RB Kenyan Drake, T Geron Christian and WR James Proche were all signed to the practice squad, while RBs Nate McCrary and Jordan Wilkins were released from the practice squad. OT Ty Nsekhe (biceps) was also placed on the practice squad/injured list after suffering his injury in the Browns’ Week 8 loss to the Seahawks.

Drake is the most experienced player of the signings and is in his eighth NFL season. He’s played games the last two seasons with the Ravens and last appeared with them in Week 5 this season. He’s also spent time with the Dolphins, Cardinals and Raiders and has averaged 4.5 yards per carry over his career.

Christian is a sixth-year veteran who has 49 career games with 16 starts between time spent with the Commanders, Texans and Chiefs. He’ll serve as a depth piece for the Browns as they navigate a possible injury to RT Dawand Jones, who became their starter after Jack Conklin suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 1.

Proche is a fourth-year veteran who spent the last three years with the Ravens, totaling 25 receptions for 278 yards and no touchdowns. Proche, a sixth-round pick in 2020, also has punt return experience and has averaged 8.2 yards per punt return across 27 attempts.

McCrary and Wilkins will both exited the practice squad after they were signed to the group last week.

Bigger roster moves could still be on the way for the Browns — they have just under two hours until the trade deadline hits Tuesday at 4 p.m.
