Power Rankings: New AFC Top Dog As Week 7 Wraps Up

In this story:
Week 7 in the NFL delivered another week of great action. There was the drama in Indy, an upset in Foxboro and a beatdown in Baltimore. So much happened, let's rank it all.
16. New England Patriots (2-5)
The Patriots pull themselves off the mat and get an improbable victory against the Bills. The news also broke the head coach Bill Belechick signed a long term extension in the off season so maybe the Patriots are turning the corner.
15. Denver Broncos (2-5)
A wire to wire 19-17 winner for the Broncos over the Green Bay Packers in Week 7 keeps the Broncos out of last place in the AFC. It was the first time in the last 10 games that the Broncos won while leading at halftime.
14. Tennessee Titans (2-4)
A bye week for the Titans and they still lost it. On Monday they traded away their heart and soul, Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles. Things are looking bleak in Music City.
13. Los Angeles Chargers (2-4)
Head coach Brandon Staley calls to "hit the reset" button after the Chargers get slumped by the Chiefs. The sand may be running out of Staley's hourglass.
12. Las Vegas Raiders (3-4)
Vegas went into Chicago and it was a horrible afternoon for the Silver and Black. Jimmy Garappolo is injured and Brian Hoyer got the start which led to three interceptions and an afternoon to forget in Chicago.
11. Indianapolis Colts (3-4)
Indianapolis was a couple of questionable calls away from being 4-3 and totally bouncing back from a terrible Sunday in Jacksonville. They played in one the great games in recent history, but fall to the Browns 39-38.
10. New York Jets (3-3)
The Jets were idle in Week 7, a chance to get healthy and prepare to make a run to get into the playoffs.
9. Houston Texans (3-3)
Houston was also off in Week 7 and had a change to get healthy and see if they could sneak their way into the playoffs with a late run.
8. Buffalo Bills (4-3)
There is something wrong in Buffalo. They have not played a good game in over a month now and losing to the Patriots on Sunday was a disaster. They have to figure things out and figure them out fast.
7. Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)
The Bengals were on bye this week and further allowed them to get Joe Burrow's leg back to where it needs to be. They have a big two game stretch here as they head to San Francisco next week for a date with the 49ers. Can the Bengals stay hot?!
6. Cleveland Browns (4-2)
Myles Garrett. He was superman on Sunday in the Browns' victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Browns have question marks at the quarterback position but a win is a win and the Browns are 4-2.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)
Another week, another bizarre Steelers win. This week, they needed four missed field goals from the Rams' Brett Maher to give them a chance. And then, TJ Watt took over and made another game winning play. If they keep doing this, maybe they are just good?
4. Miami Dolphins (5-2)
Fun fact of the week, the Dolphins wins are against teams with a combined record of 8-25. The two times that they have played a team with a winning record they have lost by a combined score of 79-37. How good are the Dolphins? I'm not sure that we know quite yet.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2)
The Jaguars took care of business against the Saints on Thursday night. They got some extended rest with the mini bye week and they look like a team of consequence.
2. Kansas City (6-1)
If you wanted to argue with me saying that the Chiefs are the best team in the AFC, I would understand. Mahomes to Kelce is one of the best connections in the history of football. They will be a tough team to beat the rest of the year.
1. Baltimore Ravens (5-2)
The Ravens figured it out. They stomped the Detroit Lions by a final of 38-6 and it was not that close. MVP Lamar was out in Baltimore this week and the birds look like they are the team to beat in the AFC.
