Diehard Cleveland Browns fans know all to well about the rich history of their favorite team.

Whether it's the pre-merger era that saw the franchise claim seven championships in a 10-year span, or the thrilling "Kardiac Kids" teams of the 1980 season, Cleveland used to be a gold standard of the sport. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is now providing fans with an opportunity to reflect on the Browns memorable past with a new exhibit called "A Legacy Unleashed."

According to announcement from the Hall of Fame, the exhibit is slated to feature artifacts from the storied history of the Browns, highlighting the team's eight championships and even celebrating the 70th and 60th anniversaries of the 1954 and 1964 NFL Championship seasons. It will also explore the influence of team founder Paul Brown on the franchise as well as the impact of Marion Motley and Bill Willis reintegration of football as part of "The Forgotten Four."

"This exhibit will give thousands of fans, not only in Northeast Ohio but across the country, an opportunity to celebrate the unique history of a franchise that dominated pro football from the moment it took the field in 1946," the Hall of Fame explained in an official release about the new exhibit.

The multi-area display will open officially at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 15, with franchise legend Bernie Kosar and former Browns running back and Madden cover man Peyton Hillis set to be part of the unveiling during its opening weekend. The exhibit will remain open daily up until Sunday, April 21,
