The Browns have been searching for a spark in the first half of what’s been a lopsided effort against the Ravens.

They might’ve found one from on special teams.

Jordan Elliott blocked a 55-yard field goal attempt from Ravens kicker Justin Tucker. The ball was recovered by Anthony Walker Jr., setting the Browns up at Baltimore’s 38-yard line.

The Browns, who trailed 17-6 at the time of the block, turned the big play into their third field goal of the game after quarterback Deshaun Watson led the offense down to the Ravens’ 5-yard line. Watson connected with wide receiver Amari Cooper on a 28-yard pass — his longest completion of the game so far — to put the Browns in a favorable position.

Watson, though, was struggling mightily before the drive. He went just 1-for-9 in the first quarter, totaling a completion percentage of 11 percent that was the lowest in a quarter in his career.

The Ravens intercepted Watson for a touchdown on the first drive of the game and padded their lead with a 39-yard touchdown run from running back Keaton Mitchell.

The blocked field goal should certainly help swing momentum back over to Cleveland.

Kicker Dustin Hopkins has generated all of the Browns' points so far, drilling field goals from 36, 27 and 23 yards.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson also threw an interception to Browns cornerback Mike Ford on the following Baltimore drive, giving the Browns another valuable chance to potentially even the game before halftime.
