WATCH: Cleveland Native Travis Kelce Praises DPOY Finalist And Browns Star Myles Garrett

In this story:
Travis Kelce always reps Cleveland proudly. Any chance he gets to represent Northeast Ohio he takes full advantage of it and that was no different Thursday was no different.
As Kelce gets is preparing to try and win his third Super Bowl, he was asked about Browns star Myles Garrett and the impact that he makes both on the field and off of it for his hometown.
Kelce knows a thing or two about high-level football and finding your groove. He is currently in a groove of his own this postseason and it has him on the cusp of yet another Super Bowl.
While Garrett would rather have the Browns competing for the Super Bowl this weekend, a good consolation prize would be winning the top honor a defensive player can win.
Garrett was well on his way to running away with the award through the first 11 games of the season. He had 27 total tackles and 14 sacks while making opposing offenses lives miserable.
The home stretch of the season did not bode well for the veteran star as injuries and the opponent's attention took over. His stats may have took a hit but his impact never did. Opponent's game plans started with No. 95 and making sure that he couldn't wreck the football game.
Garrett's 2023 year was full of signature moments from his sack in Week 1 to wrap up the victory over the Bengals to his total takeover in Week 7 against the Colts all the way to the big plays he made at the end of the Bears game in Week 15.
Garrett was the most impactful player in the NFL in 2023 and Thursday night is his chance at history. If he is selected as the winner of the award he becomes the first Cleveland Brown to be named the Defensive Player of the Year, a title that was first awarded in 1971.
