Watch: Maurice Hurst Secures Big Man INT vs. Seahawks

Everyone loves a big man interception, and Maurice Hurst just added his name to the list of defensive linemen who’ve secured one.

Hurst snagged an interception in the third quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ matchup against the Seahawks, tipping a pass from QB Geno Smith and coming down with the ball as it fell back to the ground.

That’s a 290-pound man making a big play on the football for Cleveland.

Hurst has been quite the addition for the Browns. Signed as a free agent over the offseason, he had only played two games in the league in the last two seasons due to injuries. He was viewed as a low-risk, high-reward signing for the Browns, and he appears to be in the middle of a bounce-back season.

The interception was his biggest highlight yet.

He’s also contributed another two tackles in the game, bringing his season total to 15. He also has two tackles for a loss, a half sack, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups this season.

Not bad for a rotational player.

The Browns will likely need more plays from the defense — they lead the Seahawks 20-17 midway through the third quarter and would be looking to pull of yet another upset win with P.J. Walker starting at QB.

CB M.J. Emerson Jr. also tallied an interception for the Browns in the second half, which was his second pick of the year.

Hurst’s interception gave Smith his second multi-interception game of the season and second in his last three games.
