As the world continues its fight against the global coronavirus pandemic, sporting events around the world are being postponed and canceled. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are no exception. With no summer games in an Olympic year - SI's Mark Bechtel looked back at the 1896 Olympics that were held in Athens, Greece, it was this Olympics that many consider to be the birth of the modern Olympic Games. Bechtel shares a few stories that made those Games so unique.
