It's taken a while, but finally Inter have officially denied that Jose Mourinho will be the team's coach next season. Only this morning English press wrote about an alleged agreement made between the Portuguese coach and the Milan-based club, which seems about to win its 16th league title.

Inter president Massimo Moratti reacted to these rumours, and seemed understandably irritated considering how the importance of this period for his club.

"It's not true and I don't think I even need to deny these rumours anymore," he said. "I've lost count of how many times I've heard this 'news'."

Moratti also spoke about the odd substitution of young striker Mario Balotelli near the end of the first half in yesterday's match away to Torino.

"[Roberto] Mancini took him off to protect him and he had a very composed reaction to it. There's no need to invent anything else," he concluded.
