Kansas City Wizards midfielder Roger Espinoza has been called up to the Honduras national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico.

The 22-year-old has three caps for Honduras, but should he see the pitch against T&T on March 28 or against Mexico on April 1, it will be his first World Cup qualifying action.

Selected 11th overall in the 2008 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, Espinoza came off the bench at halftime in the Wizards' 2009 season opener against Toronto FC to notch an assist. He will miss Kansas City's game against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday.
