The Houston Dynamo announced Monday on its Web site that midfielder Geoff Cameron will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured right PCL. Cameron suffered the injury in Saturday's game against Chicago and will undergo surgery later this week.

"We are very disappointed to lose an All-Star caliber player, and we feel especially bad for Geoff and the timing of this injury," said Dynamo chief operating fficer Chris Canetti. "We are confident he will come back healthy and be an impact player for us again next season."

Cameron, 24, earned MLS Best XI honors as a defender in 2009. The third-year pro also earned his first cap for the U.S. national team against El Salvador in February. Cameron had appeared in 82 of the Dynamo's 89 games in all competitions since being selected in third round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.
