With time winding down on the U.S.' 2010 World Cup, Landon Donovan delivered the goal that propelled the team forward to the knockout stage. In the first minute of extra time, Donovan found himself on the doorstep with nothing but net in front of him and knocked in the ball.

With a header off a cross from teammate Luke Wilkshire, Australia's Tim Cahill gave his squad a 1-0 lead in the 69th minute. Cahill returned with a bang after missing Australia's last match against Ghana.

Four minutes later, Brett Holman put Australia up 2-0 with a 30-yard strike that found the bottom right corner of the net. Holman's goal came just nine minutes after he was subbed into the match.
