COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The United States' 2-0 victory over Mexico on Tuesday night had the highest preliminary television rating for a men's national team game outside of the World Cup or Confederations Cup.

The game on ESPN drew a 1.9 overnight rating on ESPN, according to Nielsen. The previous high was a 1.6 for Mexico vs. the United States last March 26 in Mexico City, a 0-0 tie.

Ratings represent the percentage of all homes with televisions tuned to a program. Overnight ratings measure the country's largest markets.
