SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle extended its lead atop the Major League Soccer standings to five points with a 2-1 home win over Dallas on Wednesday, with Kenny Cooper's 88th minute goal delivering the Sounders' fifth-straight win.
Less than two minutes after coming on as a substitute, Cooper received a pass from Obafemi Martins and struck it first time, high into the net for the winner. Martins also set up Lamar Neagle for the equalizer in the 62nd minute.
The Sounders are unbeaten in six games and came from behind to collect points in five of them.
Brazilian forward Michel had given Dallas the lead when he converted a penalty in the 16th minute.
HOUSTON 1, COLUMBUS 0
Houston's Will Bruin scored early in the second half to give the Dynamo victory over visiting Columbus.
Bruin headed home a Brad Davis free kick in the 50th minute.
Columbus' Justin Meram came close to an equalizer in the 84th minute, when his shot from outside the box hit the post. The Crew are winless in their past six games.
SAN JOSE 0, COLORADO 0
Colorado held on for an away point by restricting San Jose to a scoreless draw.
Rapids goalkeeper Clint Irwin made several key saves, most critically in the 88th minute when he got enough of a touch on a Chris Wondolowski shot to push it onto the post.
