Spain's Diego Costa will play vs. El Salvador

WASHINGTON (AP) Coach Vicente del Bosque said defending World Cup champion Spain will include Diego Costa on the roster to face El Salvador on Saturday, in its last tuneup game before heading to Brazil.

''If we thought that having him in the game would be a risk for his physical shape we would not include him'', del Bosque said Friday about the striker who was forced to leave the field during the Champions final he played with Atletico Madrid due to an injury in his leg.

Del Bosque said he will include players that did not have a lot of action during the previous week of training, which included a 2-0 victory against Bolivia on May 30 in Seville.

Albert Costa, coach for El Salvador, anticipated that Spain will keep the ball at least 70 percent of the game on Saturday, so he plans a very defensive tactic.

''We will be humble and ambitious. We know Spain is superior and they should win the game, but we will not take a defeat for granted'', the Spaniard added.

Spain plays its Group B opener against the Netherlands on June 13 in Salvador, then takes on Chile and Australia.
