S.D. Eibar

S.D. Eibar finished in first-place of Liga Adelante last season. The team's leading scorer was Jota, who scored 11 goals last year. His tenth goal of the season clinched the club's promotion. Because of their championship in the Segunda Division, Eibar has been promoted to La Liga for the first time in history.

This offseason, the Ameros lost Jota so they will begin their La Liga campaign without their top goal scorer from last year. The team had a number of players plucked from the roster after finding success a year ago, but they did retain goalkeeper Xabier Iruretagoiena. Last year, Iruretagoiena was awarded the Zamora Trophy, which is awarded to the goalie with the least goals-to-games ratio. Iruretagoiena gave up just 26 goals in 39 matches for an average of 0.67 goals per game.
