QPR manager Harry Redknapp plans to sign contract extension
Queens Park Rangers coach Harry Redknapp plans to sign a two-year contract extension with the club, Redknapp told The Guardian.
Redknapp's future with the team had come into question after QPR began the Premier League season with two losses, including a 4-0 defeat to Tottenham last Sunday. But Redknapp said club chairman Tony Fernandes wants him to stay with the club and has offered him the extension.

"[Fernandes]’s been asking me for a little while but we’ve just not got around to doing it. Maybe today if they put it in front of me, I’ll sign it. If not, next week.
“I wanted to come back into the Premier League, I want to stay here and I will stay here this year – we’ll stay up.”
Redknapp took over QPR early in 2012-13, a season that resulted in relegation after a poor start under predecessor Mark Hughes. Redknapp led the team back to the Premier League after winning the League Championship play-off last season.
QPR next plays on Saturday against Sunderland.
