Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will be available for Saturday's game against Manchester United, manager Arsene Wenger said Thursday

Giroud suffered a fracture in his lower leg against Everton in August and was originally expected to be out until the beginning of the new year. Wenger said in October that Giroud's recovery was ahead of schedule

Giroud, 28, transferred to Arsenal from French side Montpelier in 2012 and he has 41 goals in 102 games since joining the Gunners, including 28 in 72 league matches.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge shut down again with new thigh injury

He scored his only goal of this season in a 2-2 draw against Everton on Aug. 23, but broke his left tibia in the closing seconds of the game.

Midfielder Mikel Arteta will also be available for the match Saturday, Wenger said. Arteta has been out since Nov. 4 with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal is currently sixth on the EPL table with 17 points. Manchester United is tied with Newcastle for seventh with 16 points.
