Morocco appeals its ban from next two African Cups
Morocco has appealed its ban from the next two African Cup of Nations to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, according to BBC.
The Confederation of African Football fined Morocco $1 million and banned the country from the 2017 and 2019 tournaments earlier this month.
The punishment came after Morocco refused to host the 2015 tournament due to concerns about the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Morocco wanted the tournament to be postponed until 2016, and the CAF threatened to sanction the country if the tournament did not proceed as originally scheduled.

After Morocco officially withdrew, the CAF expelled Morocco from the 2015 tournament, which instead was held in Equatorial Guinea.
"We have taken our case to the CAS and we will soon take it to the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris," said Royal Federation of Moroccan Football spokesman Mohamed Makrouf.
"This is not a conflict with the CAF. The law allows to appeal and we will accept any decision from the court."
According to BBC, Morocco has requested that the penalties be rescinded by the end of next month. In addition to the fine, the country was ordered to pay $9 million in compensation for withdrawing as hosts of the 2015 African Cup.
