Impact draw Whitecaps in first leg of Canadian Championship final

MONTREAL (AP) — Laurent Ciman and Anthony Jackson-Hamel scored in a late one-minute span to help the Montreal Impact draw 2–2 with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship final Wednesday.

Ciman scored for the defending champion Impact in the 84th minute and Jackson-Hamel leveled it in the 85th. Darren Mattocks and Pedro Morales scored for the Whitecaps in the second half.

The second leg is Aug. 26 at B.C. Place in Vancouver.

The winner will advance to the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League.
