WATFORD, England (AP) — Premier League newcomer Watford earned its second straight draw to start the season after being held 0-0 by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

Watford looked the more attack-minded team for most of the match but Saido Berahino nearly won it for West Brom near the end when he headed wide at the far post. It was the first point of the season for West Brom after losing 3-0 to Manchester City on Monday, and Tony Pulis' side seemed mainly focused on keeping a clean sheet this time.

While Watford showed some neat build-up play, the team often lacked the final ball and Odion Ighalo missed a couple of good chances.

Pulis threw on new striker Salomon Rondon with half an hour to go and the Venezuelan's first action was a powerful run into the Watford box, but his shot sailed into the stands.
