CHICAGO (AP) The U.S. will play home exhibitions against Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5 as it prepares for World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala in March.

Both games will be at Carson, California, the U.S. Soccer Federation said Tuesday. Players on the national team and under-23 team will gather in Carson for a training camp starting Jan. 4. Because the games are not on FIFA fixture dates, the roster will be filled with mostly U.S.-based players.

The Americans play World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala on March 25 and 29, with the first match in Guatemala City and the second in Columbus, Ohio.

The under-23 team is preparing for a two-leg playoff against Colombia in March for a berth in the Rio Olympics.
