Champions League quarterfinal draw: Barcelona to play Atletico Madrid
The matchups for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals have been announced following the draw on Friday morning.
Barcelona will face Spanish rival Atletico Madrid, pitting the first- and second-place teams in La Liga against each other. Barcelona has beaten Atletico in two La Liga matches this season. The first leg will take place at Camp Nou on April 5, with the second being held at Vicente Calderón on April 13.
Real Madrid will play its first leg against Wolfsburg at the VfL Wolfsburg Arena on April 6, the team announced after the draw. The second leg will be hosted at Bernabéu Stadium on April 12.
Bayern Munich is set to play Benfica, avoiding a matchup with Manchester City, where current Bayern manager Pep Guardiola will coach next season. Manchester City will instead face Paris Saint-Germain.
The Champions League quarterfinal will be held on April 5 and 6, and on April 12 and 13.
