Aston Villa's highly sought-after defender Jordan Amavi had a transfer to La Liga side Sevilla all but done when the Spanish side confirmed they had reached an agreement over the player last week for a reported £7m.
The French left-back has, however, failed his medical tests ahead of the proposed move and has forced Sevilla to dismiss Amavi's transfer, according to Estadio Deportivo
Initially, the deal was believed to be stalling over an agreement between the two clubs over the method of payment and although the club are yet to make an official announcement, it now appears that the defender's failed medical is the reasoning behind why the transfer stalled.
